Our Sacramento adult choir was started to teach harmony singing in a fun and casual environment. You don’t need to have previous choir experience. Just a desire to learn. And as long as you’re willing to try, we’re here to show you how!

Meet Your Director, Ivan Rachath

Ivan Rachath is a professional musician who holds a master’s in musical arts, guitar, piano and conducting choirs.

He also holds an emphasis in piano performance from Andrews University and a BA in Music. Ivan has deep expertise in Classical, Jazz, Latin, and Gospel music.

As a soloist pianist, he has performed nationally and internationally in countries like Colombia and Argentina.

As a musician, he is recognized for his versatility as he is not only an exceptional pianist, but also and excellent guitar player and choir director.

As a professor, he is always interested in engaging with his students and sharing with them not only musical concepts but also enhancing their passion for music.

Do we have to have previous experience?
Not for this Sacramento adult choir! Just a willingness to try.

What kind of music are we singing?
Whatever the group wants! We’ll take any and all suggestions for what you would like to sing!

Do we perform?
We could if you wanted! Or if some of you wanted. Right now, it’s a casual group. Our school holds recitals for soloists so it would be nice to have the group choir sing for that!

Does it cost?
We are asking for $125/mo to cover our expenses like music, staff including a piano accompanist. This is literally just a passion project for us, nothing more.
