What We Believe About Music Lessons
First, we believe that music lessons should not only be focused on the musical technique of the instrument being studied. That is to say, music lessons have the power to address the whole person. Therefore, it is a wholesome experience of mind and body combined.
That being said, our approach to teaching music is to emphasize the development of personal awareness, confidence, and expression.
Our Gift to Our Students
Developing the self in these ways is essential to a successful life. Therefore, music is our tool of choice to gift people the chance to become one step closer to self-awareness.
About the Founder: Gabriella Martucci Jones
I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. Consequently, I attended CSUS where I obtained my music degree. In short, my music study experience unexpectedly helped me reconnect to aspects myself. Aspects I had unknowingly disconnected from both emotionally and physically.
My musical experience can be summed up as this: that confidence and expression of “self” develop only as much as we are aware of “self”. The study of music was my gateway into higher levels self-confidence and personal expression. And so, it has become my passion to share this experience with my community.
About Martucci Music
I began this music school in East Sacramento in 2014. My purpose was to teach music lessons with an emphasis in the development of mind and body towards self-awareness in order to foster self-confidence and expression. Since then, we have grown considerably and currently have over 100 private students enrolled with our specialized instructors.
Whether it’s teaching breathing for vocals or body positioning for piano and guitar, we have seen students become more conscious and confident of their own mind and bodies. We recognize that these are the first steps toward students’ own personal actualization as individual contributors of society in their personal communities. Consequently, this is why we say, It’s more than just music here. It’s a commitment to “Self”.
Where is Gabriella Now?
Gabriella currently lives in South Carolina with her husband who serves as a pilot in the United States Air Force but her fixed passion and commitment to serve her Sacramento community continues on.
